RECRUITING: Dallas LB has OU in top five

Dallas, Texas linebacker Jeremy Campbell talk about his game and his interest in the Sooners

Jeremy may be one of the best kept secrets in Texas. Playing both inside and outside linebacker, Campbell racked up over 100 tackles as excelling on special teams.

"I like playing inside linebacker better," said Campbell. "I love taking on lead blocks and getting through that guy and still make a play."

There is a good chance that Campbell will also be the starting fullback in the fall as well. Campbell can bench 310 pounds, squats 500 and he has a 31 1/2 inch vertical jump. Campbell went to the first Texas camp and will go to Texas A&M next weekend.

Thus far Campbell has nine offers in recruiting from Texas, Kansas State, Maryland, Baylor, Arkansas, Nebraska, Michigan State, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma State.

"Recruiting is going very good and I need to get my visits in to see what I want to do," said Campbell. "I don't know if I will take all my visits to the schools that have offered me at this point. Oklahoma hasn't offered me yet, but if they do I will visit Oklahoma, because they are definitely in my top five. I would have to say that Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas State would be my top five."

Campbell teams with defensive lineman Frank Okam to form one of the top defenses in Texas.
