RECRUITING: Texas OL likes OU's winning ways

Giant Denton, Texas offensive lineman Herman Johnson talks about his interest in OU and adds two more schools his list of contenders

JH: How is your summer going?

HJ: "My summer is going pretty good. I just completed summer school and that went well. I work out with the team and we have our own strength and conditioning camp. For the rest of my summer I am just hanging out."

JH: How did you do in summer school?

HJ: "I took two classes and I passed them both."

JH: "How are your summer workouts going?

HJ: "It is going real well. We are a little low on count in the morning, but we just need to talk to our players and get them to come out. Other than that the workouts have been pretty good. I work out with 285 pounds on the bench and for my squat I work with 430."

JH: Will you take any unofficial visits this summer?

HJ: "If I have the time I hope to take a couple of visits, but I am not sure I will have the time."

JH: What schools are you concentrating on at this time?

HJ: "I still like OU and LSU, but I am also looking at Texas A&M and Colorado."

JH: What are you thoughts on Oklahoma at the moment?

HJ: "It is a real good school and I looked in Dave Campbell's Magazine and saw that they are ranked number one to start out this season. I like the fact OU is always winning and always contending for the national title."

JH: What do you like about LSU?

HJ: "I like their campus and their players seem pretty cool. I like talking to the coaches as they sound like pretty cool guys."

JH: Do you have a favorite at this time?

HJ: "Not really, because I think I need to take my visits and see what each program has to offer."
