RECRUITING: OU still in the mix for Tulsa WR?

Tulsa WR Quentin Chaney says he's still in basketball mode, but lists seven favorites for football

QUENTIN CHANEY, WR, 6-6, 205, 4.5, TULSA (TULSA WASHINGTON HS), OKLAHOMA:

JH: Did you go to USC this weekend?

QC: "No, I didn't go, but Damahco (Ousley) went."

JH: How is your summer going?

QC: "I have been playing basketball this summer. I haven't taken any other unofficial football visits and I won't take those until AAU basketball is finished."

JH: How is your AAU basketball season going?

QC: "It is going real good. We are getting ready to go to the Peach Jam, which is held at North Augusta, South Carolina. I am playing pretty good right now. I don't know what I am averaging, but I am starting and I think playing pretty well."

JH: What are you doing football-wise right now?

QC: "Right now we are competing in a seven-on-seven league with Jenks, Broken Arrow and several other teams. Three times a week we are going through strength and conditioning drills at my high school."

JH: How is football recruiting going?

QC: "Right now I am pretty high on several schools. I am pretty open and I am really interested in just about all the schools that are interested in me."

JH: Who are you interested in?

QC: "USC, Oklahoma State, OU, Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Colorado are some of the schools I really like. I also like Georgia, but I really haven't got anything from them."

JH: Where does Oklahoma stand on your list?

QC: "I still have them high on my list and I really like their school. I don't really have a top three or anything, but they are very much on my list of schools that I am considering."
