Stills put on Biletnikoff Award watch list

NORMAN, Okla. — The Sooners have their 18th preseason watch list mention, as the Biletnikoff Award watch list has been unveiled and wide receiver Kenny Stills is on there.

Stills, who has stated over and over that he didn't step up in the manner that he would liked to have after all-time NCAA receptions leader Ryan Broyles went down, gets the preseason nod for the second consecutive year after finishing second on the team with 61 catches for 849 yards and eight touchdowns.

He averaged 77.2 yards per game and 13.9 yards per catch.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound leader of this Sooner receiving corps started all 11 games in which he saw action en route to earning All-Big 12 second team honors.

He eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in his career in the Red River Rivalry game against Texas on his 77th career reception, becoming the second fastest Sooner to do so next to Broyles.

That performance saw him record five catches for 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Stills currently sits in 10th on the OU career receiving yards chart with 1,635 yards and 11th on the career receptions list at 122.

The Biletnikoff, given to the nation's outstanding college football receiver, will have the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announce its 10 semifinalists on Nov. 12, following a vote by the Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee.

From there, three finalists will be chosen following another vote on Nov. 19, and the winner will be presented live on Dec. 6, 2012, at The Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
