Sandland forced to drop a number of schools

L.A. Pierce four-star JUCO tight end Beau Sandland has had to cut seven schools off his list of potential Division I destinations.

That's because the Southeastern Conference is not compatible with his education plan that will allow him to graduate this December.

"Regrettably I have had to eliminate the SEC due to academic reasons," Sandland told FOXSportsNext.com's Joey Helmer via text. "In order to graduate in december I have to take an online math class and the SEC does not accept online math."

That eliminates Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas A&M from the running for Sandland's talents.

In still stand 15 other suitors, including the likes of Nebraska and Oklahoma, among others.

Sandland has visited both of those schools, plus others and has one set for the Arizona State-Oregon game in Tempe, Ariz., Oct. 18.
