1.Brennan Clay runs in for the overtime win in Bedlam—One of the most hard-working, committed, deserving players finally got his pay dirt when he capped off a furious rally for the Sooners. In a game in which they trailed by double digits on two separate occasions and stormed back to tie it in the waning seconds, Clay sprinted in for the game-winning touchdown of a 51-48 victory. No doubt it immediately became his signature moment as a Sooner and perhaps the signature moment of the season.
2. Defense provides fourth down stop to win Big 12 Championship at TCU—The Sooners appeared to have it locked up when they held a 10-point lead midway through the fourth quarter, but a muffed punt paved the way for a field goal that drew the Horned Frogs within one possession. Later, though, OU had yet another moment when it looked to be on the verge of putting the game on ice. Place kicker Michael Hunnicutt missed the 42-yard field goal, however, and that left the door open for TCU. A 46-yard pass play put the Horned Frogs inside the red zone, but the Sooner defense stood tall. Nickel back Julian Wilson, with an assist from free safety Tony Jefferson, batted down the final pass to help OU claim a share of the conference title with Kansas State.
3. Sooners again hammer Texas in the Red River Rivalry—Just as they did in 2011, the Sooners smacked their southern rival around relentlessly. Leading 35-2 at halftime—Texas' only points came on a returned point after attempt—the crimson clad continued to pour it on until it led 56-8 at one point. What eventually became a 63-21 OU victory saw almost all of the burnt orange side of the bowl exit early in the third quarter.
