NORMAN, Okla. — Just a few days before Signing Day, defensive coordinator Mike Stoops and the staff has got back after it and locked up yet another defensive back.
Lancaster (Texas) HS cornerback Dakota Austin, currently on an official visit to OU, couldn't resist going ahead and pulling the trigger as OU's fifth secondary pledge for the 2013 class immediately upon receiving an offer he'd long desired.
The 5-foot-11, 165-pound three-star corner is ranked as the No. 134 player in the country, according to FOX Sports NEXT's recruiting rankings.
He joins four-star corner Stanvon Taylor, four-star safety Hatari Byrd and three-star safeties Ahmad Thomas and Dominique Alexander as secondary players Stoops has lined up for this class.
OU is still on a pair of Signing Day decisions, including four-star safety L.J. Moore and three-star cornerback Adrian Baker.
Moore is deciding amongst a group of schools such as OU, Arizona State, Oregon State and Cal, while Baker is choosing between a pair, OU and Clemson.
