OU basketball offers two from Mustang

Following an unofficial visit to OU last weekend, a couple of sophomore in-state recruits have been offered by the Sooners to play basketball.

The Oklahoma basketball team hasn't been able to land any prospects yet for its Class of 2014, but the Sooners are already putting in work for the future.

OU has offered two Class of 2016 prospects from Mustang (Okla.) High, confirmed Mustang coach Terry Long.

Sophomore guard Jakolby Long and power forward Austin Meyer were both officially offered by the Sooners on Tuesday. Both Long and Meyer were on campus this weekend for the legends weekend.

Long, who is 6-foot-4, is Terry Long's son and has been a name on the radar for Oklahoma basketball since he was in seventh grade. Meyer, who is 6-foot-8, is starting to emerge more and more as a quality prospect.
