OU-Texas set for morning kickoff

Oklahoma and Texas will once again have the national spotlight as the Red River Rivalry was announced for 11 a.m. CST on Oct. 12.

Both teams still have some work to be done, but it was announced Monday morning the Oklahoma-Texas game Oct. 12 will be at 11 a.m. CST and televised by ABC.

OU (4-0) is coming off a 35-21 road victory at Notre Dame and hosts TCU on Saturday night on FOX. Texas (2-2) defeated Kansas State last week and is on the road at Iowa State on Thursday night.

Both the Sooners and the Longhorns are 1-0 in Big 12 conference play. Lately the Red River Rivalry has been a national showcase game at 11 a.m. and that trend will continue this season.

OU has won the last three meetings, including the last two contests by the combined score of 118-38.
