Setting the stage: No. 24 Texas at OU

OU looks to keep pace in the Big 12 and earn a season sweep of the Longhorns in the process as Texas comes to town.

With OU firmly entrenched in its Big 12 conference play, is going to preview each of the Sooners conference games.

No. 24 Texas (21-7, 10-5) at Oklahoma (20-8, 9-6)

When: 3 p.m. CST

Last game: OU brought its A game, but Kansas was just a bit better as the Jayhawks completed the sweep of the Sooners. Texas withstood a massive comeback by Baylor to take out the Bears in Austin.

What to watch for: It's not the last home game of the season, but OU is treating it as senior night for forwards Cameron Clark and Tyler Neal. The two are the last remaining members of the Jeff Capel era and have had a front row seat to the turnaround under Lon Kruger.

It sure didn't look like a huge win when OU won in Austin in the first conference game of the season, but it's now one of the Sooners marquee wins of the year.

The best news of the last couple of weeks has been how Je'lon Hornbeak has found his groove and has become a legit option off the bench. He's no longer just giving Jordan Woodard a chance to rest, his confidence on the court is catching up to his high basketball IQ.

And you can count on a raucous atmosphere. Senior day. Texas for the Red River Rivalry. And junior day for football so a lot of top recruits are going to be in attendance, and OU hopes they're treated to a show.

Scouting the Longhorns: Texas can beat you in a number of ways. And the Longhorns had that on full display against Baylor.

There are days when guard Javan Felix cannot miss from downtown and then there's games when Cameron Ridley is a force in the middle. Felix is making almost two three-pointers per game and averaging 12.9 points per game. Ridley leads the team with 7.9 rebounds per game.

But when Texas needed somebody to step up down the stretch against Baylor, it was a familiar face in Jonathan Holmes. He leads the balanced attack at 13.3 points per game, but he's no slouch inside at 7.4 rebounds per contest.
