OU's tight end 'wish list'

This edition of the "wish list" looks at OU's top targets at tight end as of right now.

With all spring games in the books, things are starting to work themselves out on the recruiting trail. It's time to start looking more intently on Oklahoma's "wish list" for the Class of 2015.

SoonersIllustrated.com is going to examine the recruiting situation for the Sooners at every single position in the next week.

Here is an idea of where OU stands heading into May. The number in parentheses indicates the number of recruits OU is looking to sign at the position for the Class of 2015. The names in no way reflect OU's official board but are the best guesstimate of who OU is targeting.

TE (1)

Committed: None.

Favorite: None.

Next in line: Fayetteville (Ark.) High's C.J. O'Grady. The Sooners are in the conversation, but it's also clear his trip to OU for the spring game didn't blow him away. Conversely, his trip to Texas the following week looks like it has positioned the Longhorns right there in the thick of things as well. Arkansas is always going to remain an option as well. Still feels like OU's best shot at a tight end.

On the radar: Roland (Okla.) High's Austin Cantrell. The big thing with Cantrell is his positioning. Do you see him as a tight end or defensive end? Cantrell said OU sees him more as a defensive end than anything else although he has a nice frame to also play tight end. But the real difficulty for OU here is he's a firm commit to Arkansas who jumped when the Hogs made the offer.
