In focus: Norman North

Norman North is slowly starting to become one of the more consistent programs in the state with sending kids to major colleges.

The OKPreps spring football season is here, and is hitting the road to see the top prospects in the state of Oklahoma.

QB John Kolar

Will anything change for Kolar during this two-week period? That's the question right now. Committed to Oklahoma State since March, he announced to the rest of the nation he had arrived. Some schools are keeping in touch, but Kolar has been pretty consistent with saying he's loving everything the Cowboys have to offer. The issue is going to be if the hometown Sooners enter the mix. OU quarterbacks coach Josh Heupel has kept in touch, no idea if it will progress into something more.

2016 RB Quan Hogan

Hogan cemented himself last season as among the most versatile threats in the state. It's arguable that he's a better wide receiver than running back, and he's one heck of a talented running back. He picked up the Tulsa offer last summer, and it absolutely feels like it's just a matter of time before Hogan becomes a household name in the state and in the recruiting scene.

2016 OL Walker Reed

The potential is there and this junior season is going to be pivotal to see what Reed can do against the best competition in the state on a consistent basis. Sooners Illustrated got to check out Reed at the Nike Football Training Combine event last month, and it's obvious he has nice natural size and will be a name to watch going forward.
