Visits For Moore

Olathe (KS) North's Josh Moore is one of the prizes in the Upper Midlands region for the 2015 class. A lot of heavy hitters are coming at him hard, and he shares a few summer visits he plans on taking.

Olathe (KS) North's Josh Moore has been the most heavily recruited prospect in the Upper Midlands for the better part of the last six months. He's raked in a handful of top-level FBS offers.

He took the time to speak with Scout at a recent 7v7 event at Shawnee Mission West to discuss his recruitment. Moore gave the latest on his visit schedule. He was at Missouri today, and has four other spots he'd like to hit before the end of the summer.

"I'll be visiting Iowa State on June 21," Moore said. "I'm trying to make it down to Florida State, Ohio State, and Auburn as well. I'm not sure when but those three visits are a priority for me."

The visit to the Cyclones comes as a slight surprise, but Moore admits he's been back in contact with them in the last week.

"It's been quiet with them," he stated. "It got started back up again recently. They were asking if I was still pretty open with my recruitment and I am. I'm going to give them a look. They've offered a teammate of mine and I want to check it out with him."

Moore is a top prospect and has spoken with a few coaching staffs quite a bit in the last few weeks.

"I talk to a lot of coaches at Ohio State," he shared. "They all keep in touch with me often. I feel like I speak with their entire staff. That's the only one that has been that way."

"I talk to Coach Miller from Florida State quite a bit," Moore added. "I've also spoke with Auburn. I've recently been in contact with Oklahoma and Iowa State as well. I've been talking to Vanderbilt, too. They've reached out with a lot of interest and so I've been giving them some attention. Those are the schools I've been in contact with quite a bit lately. I speak to a lot of different staffs, though."

The Sooners are a program that has often been associated with Moore. He's taken three trips there and has a sense of comfort with the Oklahoma staff.

"I've been there three times," he pointed out about the Sooners. "It's like I live down there. They gave me my first college letter my freshman year. I went to see a game afterwards. This year I was offered by them and wanted to check it out again. I speak to Coach Heupel quite a bit. They like me at tight end. He says there's a bunch of potential in me that I haven't even touched yet."

Moore knows three official visits he will take and when he will announce his college choice.

"I'll definitely take official visits to Florida State, Ohio State, and Auburn for sure," he revealed. "I'm not sure about the other two. I'll commit sometime after my football season."
