Despite his pledge to TCU, Ford spent a lot of time on the road this summer learning more about the other schools that are recruiting him.
"I really like all of the facilities there and how all of the coaches were."
Ford spent some time working under the direction of Mississippi State offensive line boss John Hevesy during the Bulldogs Big Dawg camp earlier this month.
"I really like Coach Hevesy," said Ford. "He's a good coach and I like how honest he is.
"Mississippi State was a good visit and I enjoyed the camp."
Ford reports that he still considers himself a TCU commitment, but that may change in the coming days.
"I am thinking about making a final decision in the next week or so," said Ford. "I am ready to get this all behind me, so I am thinking about making a decision and being done with everything."
Football season is approaching and Ford believes his team has the chance to make some noise.
Being a true team player, the talented offensive guard does not want his recruitment to become a distraction to the team.
"I think we have a chance to have a good team," said Ford. "Workouts have been going good and we look good.
"I think we have a chance to make it to the playoffs this year, at least the first round.
"Maybe even the next one."
