Oklahoma unveils "Walk of Champions"

Stoops, Sooners to circle Memorial Stadium before games in 2014

Saturday’s won’t just be about football in the fall.

Well, they’ll be mostly about football.

Oklahoma unveiled a “Walk of Champions” for each Saturday during the fall football schedule at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Two hours before each game in Norman, the Sooners and coach Bob Stoops will walk an informal march through the gathered crowd. Fans can begin lining Jenkins Ave. starting three hours before kickoff. The team busses will park at the intersection of Lindsey St. and Jenkins Ave.

Aug. 30 vs. Louisiana Tech (Kickoff 2014)

Pregame Presentations: National Merit Scholars, flyover

In-Game Presentations: Softball Big 12 Championship recognition

Halftime: Women’s Gymnastics National Championship and Big 12 title celebration, The Pride of Oklahoma and high school band and spirit members

Sept. 13 vs. Tennessee (Stripe the Stadium)

Pregame Presentations: Flyover

Halftime: The Pride of Oklahoma

Oct. 18 vs. Kansas State (Homecoming)

In-Game Presentations: Men’s Tennis Big 12 Championship recognition

Halftime: The Pride of Oklahoma with Alumni Band

Nov. 8 vs. Baylor (Military Appreciation: Celebration of the Stars that Protect the Stripes)
