Playoffs continue for Oklahoma commits, Jenks makes 6A title game

Before action begins Saturday with the Sooners, here’s a quick look at how the Sooners’ current field of commits and their teams performed this week:

Rodney Anderson, RB, Katy High School – Cruising to the next round of the playoffs with a 76-14 victory, Anderson rushed for 225 yards and three touchdowns on just 14 carries. That’s a 16.1 yard per carry average.

Dru Samia, OL, San Ramon Valley High School – San Ramon Valley wasn’t going to stop top-ranked De La Salle, as the best team in California cruised to a 65-16 win.

Kenneth Mann, DE, Burleson High School – The best season for Burleson since 2008 ended with a 45-20 loss to Azle in the second round of the playoffs. Burleson, which reached the second round for the third time in school history allowed 28 points in the third quarter.

Tyrell Jacobs, DE, Archbishop Rummel High School – Aftera first-round bye, Archbishop Rummel opens the playoffs Saturday against Teurlings Catholic.

P.J. Mbanasor, CB, Hendrickson High School – Hendrickson faces Houston Westfield on Saturday.

Marquise Overton, DT, Jenks High School – The Trojans continued its late-season roll with a 41-14 victory against Owasso in the Class 6A1 semifinals. Overton and the defense allowed just 138 yards.

Bobby Evans, OL, Allen High School – Top-ranked Allen faces DeSoto on Saturday.

Dalton Wood, TE, McAlester High School – Wood accounted for five touchdowns as McAlester rolled to a 56-8 victory against Del City. McAlester was up three touchdowns less than six minutes into the game, and Del City had run just four offensive plays.
