This fabulous athlete has fast become one of the top defensive end recruits in the country. A 4-year starter, Latimer has played DE, OLB, QB, RB, TE, WR, CB, FS, K and Punter during his career at Gateway High. This season Latimer is concentrating on TE, RB, DE, WR and LB. Man, what will he do with his spare time?

A year ago Latimer finished with 22 sacks and because of his ability to rush the passer, most college coaches like him at defensive end. Latimer is also a starter in hoops where he averages 22 ppg and eight rpg and he would love to try both sports in college. Gateway opened their season with a 16-0 win over West Minester. Latimer had two sacks, eight tackles for a loss and ran for a touchdown (25 yards).

Latimer spent this past summer playing on an outstanding AAU team in Colorado. Latimer doesn't spend much time in the weight room, but still sports a 245-pound bench.

"Right now I am leaving recruiting wide open," said Latimer. "In the last couple of days I have talked to Oklahoma, Miami, Purdue, Colorado, Colorado State, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Texas and Oklahoma State."

"To this point I really don't have any favorites and I am looking at all of them. I won't narrow it down until the end of my season. I have a couple of friends at OU and they are the national champions. I am looking at them real hard. My parents went to Miami so I grew up rooting for the Hurricanes. You could say that Oklahoma and Miami will definitely be in the picture."

Latimer still hasn't taken the test, but he has a 3.0 GPA.
