Davis went into the season regarded as one of the top cornerbacks in the country, but he is off to a good start as a wide receiver as well and is now drawing attention on the offensive side of the ball.

Through two games Davis has caught five passes and scored on four of them, with a long of 74 yards. On defense, Davis has one pick and 16 tackles from his cornerback post.

"I am playing a lot of run support, because teams won't test me in the passing game," said Davis. "I stunt a lot from corner and we roll the coverage, which puts me in a position to handle the running game."

Davis started drawing attention a year ago when he made 26 tackles and six interceptions, returning three for touchdowns. Davis runs track in the summer, so he doesn't participate in football camps. Recruiting is rolling along as Davis is starting to make some decisions.

"I just scheduled a visit to Notre Dame a few minutes ago for October 5th," said Davis. "I am still talking to a lot of teams like Oklahoma, Nebraska, Wake Forrest, Tennessee, North Carolina State and North Carolina. I think I will take a visit to Missouri as well. I will also visit Oklahoma, probably in December. I can't say I have a leader, because I still like a lot of teams. Notre Dame has the Ivy League atmosphere and their academics are very good. At Oklahoma, I can play both ways and run track as well. OU has a great all-around athletic program. All the schools that I am interested in are very, very good."
