Bundage, Brown highlight OKPreps scrimmage

Scrimmage season is underway, and there's a major one with OU targets all over the place in Moore.

It was at this exact same scrimmage last year where names like Edmond (Okla.) Santa Fe’s Calvin Bundage and Tulsa (Okla.) Union’s Tre Brown became ones to watch.

Bundage for the 2016 class and Brown for the 2017 class. Fast forward a year, and Bundage has more than 20 offers, while Brown is on the board as well. And both are in the Scout 300 for their respective classes.

Both could end up being Bedlam battles. Bundage has offers from both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, while Brown has made multiple visits to both campuses in the last couple of months.

As much as they’ve enjoyed the recruiting process, it’s time to get back to work. Edmond Santa Fe takes on Tulsa Union in one scrimmage, followed by Moore Westmoore vs. Norman North in the other one Thursday night in Moore.

Bundage is the only OKPreps representative in the Scout 300 for the 2016 class and recently picked up offers from Oregon and UCLA this summer to go along with a litany of other who’s who in college football offers.

Brown doesn’t have the size of a lot of cornerbacks nowadays, but he more than makes up for that with his speed and natural instincts.

Other to watch: No doubt all eyes should be on Edmond Santa Fe running back Darran Williams. An incredibly accomplished runner, another huge season and colleges will have no choice but to notice his talents.

Moore Westmoore vs. Norman North

It was at this scrimmage where Bundage introduced himself to the recruiting world with a major hit on Quan Hogan, who came in as the most touted recruit at the event.

Hogan is back for one more year and hopeful to regain that certain something that made him such a name to watch following his sophomore season.

A three-star prospect, Hogan has offers from several schools but sure feels like he could add more if he can deliver on the field one more time this season.

As for Westmoore, there is some young talent Sooners Illustrated will be watching, but the name to circle is Deshawn Lookout.

Committed to OU for more than a year for baseball, Lookout is expected to be a preferred walk-on for the football team as well.
