Ed is a 3-year starter who is drawing more attention as the football season begins. He has the size to be an defensive end in college and he seems to run much faster than his 4.7 listed time, when he puts on the pads. Jackson plays defensive end at LaMarque, but he is drawing some attention as an outside linebacker.
Jackson finished with 96 tackles a year ago, with 12 sacks and one caused fumble.
LaMarque is 1-0 thus far this year and Jackson had an amazing game with 14 tackles and one blocked field goal. Jackson can bench 315 pounds, squats 460 and he has a 35-inch vertical.
"I am pretty open in recruiting right now," said Jackson. "I like LSU, Baylor, USC, Oklahoma, Kansas, Houston and TCU. TCU is the only school that has offered thus far. My favorite is LSU. I am working to set up visits, but I won't take any until after my season is over."
