Guide to OU's bye week

OU is free this week and so are you to watch whatever you want.

It’s the only Saturday this season can say this, but Oklahoma is off. Know you’ve got plans to do other things, but if you still cannot get enough college football, here’s your guide to the bye.

Maryland at West Virginia, 2 p.m. CST, FS1

The Mountaineers are coming to Norman next week so why not get a preview of what to expect. West Virginia appears to have one of the best defenses in the conference and might have the best defensive player in Karl Joseph. It’s a rivalry game, but the Terps seems like they’re down this year.

Oklahoma State at Texas, 2:30 p.m. CST, ESPN

The Longhorns are coming off a heartbreaking 45-44 loss to California, while OSU put together its best game of the season against UTSA. It’s the first conference game for both schools, and you can call it a must-win for both. For OSU, to prove it’s worthy of being ranked and taken seriously. For Texas, for Charlie Strong to show there is still reason to believe in the Longhorns in 2015.

TCU at Texas Tech, 3:45 p.m. CST, FOX

The Tech revenge tour continues. Following the win against Arkansas, the Red Raiders host the Horned Frogs, who put up more than 80 points last year. TCU’s defense continues to be a mystery and is riddled with injuries. It’s a great quarterback showdown with Patrick Mahomes vs. Trevone Boykin as well. Both teams visit Norman later in the season.

UCLA at Arizona, 7 p.m. CST, ABC

Pac-12 takes the spotlight this week with a matchup between two teams in the top 20. Not a major interest in terms of OU, but it would be one more team checked off the list in terms of unbeatens in college football.
