Oklahoma Sooners commits near end of the season

Austin Kendall, Jon-Michael Terry lead their teams to bounce-back victories.

Here is a quick look at how the Oklahoma Sooners’ current field of 2016 commits and their teams performed this week:

Jon-Michael Terry, LB, Victory Christian School – Bouncing back from its only loss of the season, Victory Christian dispatched Rogers College, 56-8.

Adrian Hardy, WR, Dekaney High School – Hardy and Dekaney lost, 31-13, to Westfield, which saw its 25-game district winning streak come to an end last week. Dekaney has lost four of its last five games.

Austin Kendall, QB, Cuthbertson High School – Kendall helped Cuthbertson snapped a four-game losing skid with a 20-14 victory against Anson.

Ryan Parker, WR, Tyler Junior College – Tyler faces Kilgore College at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Logan Roberson, OL, Harrah High School – With 380 yards rushing, Harrah cruised past Tecumseh, 49-7, with relative ease for its fourth win in five games.

Maurice Chandler, CB, NE Oklahoma A&M – With a playoffs berth still within reach, NEO closes the regular season against Trinity Valley Community College at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Chanse Sylvie, S, Calvary Baptist Academy – It took just two plays for Calvary Baptist Academy to take a lead in its 56-8 rout of Lakeview. With two games to play, Calvary Baptist ended its home schedule Friday.

Bryce Youngquist, LB, Los Osos High School – Los Osos remained winless in district play after a 34-7 loss to Rancho Cucamonga, the favorite in the league.

Parrish Cobb, CB, La Vega High School – Cobb and La Vega’s top defensive unit allowed just one touchdown in three quarters to remain unbeaten with a 39-16 victory against Lampasas.

Pernell Jefferson, LB, Warren Easton – Carver Collegiate Academy and Warren Easton face off at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Jordan Parker, DB, Pittsburg High School – Pittsburg dominated on the ground in a 55-21 victory against Heritage that included six touchdowns from its No. 1 running back. Parker scored twice including an interception return in the fourth quarter.

2017 quarterback commit – Chris Robison, QB, Mesquite Horn High School – Horn lost, 20-7, to North Mesquite in a rivalry game Friday.
