A Bedlam win and a four-star commitment. Not a bad night for Oklahoma. The Sooners took care of Cowboys on the field and then added No. 1 for their 2018 class after the game.
Moore (Okla.) Southmoore offensive lineman Brey Walker, the state’s only four-star prospect at this time, confirmed he committed to the Sooners following OU’s 58-23 win in Stillwater against Oklahoma State to earn the Big 12 championship.
Walker has been a familiar face in Norman throughout this season and has been a major target for the Sooners since getting the offer back in the spring.
He had spent most of this season going back and forth to OU and OSU, but it always felt like the Sooners had a leg up on every other school.
Despite offers from Arkansas, Michigan and Alabama, among others, it seemed like only a matter of time before he made the call for OU.
Walker was OU’s second commitment of the day. Earlier in the afternoon, Durham (N.C.) Hillside running back Abdul Adams tweeted his pledge to the Sooners.
OU now has 12 commits for the 2016 class, two for the 2017 edition and Walker gets OU on the board for the 2018 class.
