That year, Oklahoma won the Big 8 Conference tournament and made the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Oklahoma earned its first in-season top rankings since 1989 but will head to Hilton Coliseum at 8 p.m. Monday for a matchup against Iowa State - a team Oklahoma hasn't beaten on the road since 2011.
