Chris Daniels decommits from OU

OU has lost its second highest-ranked commit as Chris Daniels says he will weigh all of his options.

Thirty-three days after his commitment to Oklahoma, Euless (Texas) Trinity defensive tackle Chris Daniels has decided he needs to evaluate all of his options.

Daniels, ranked No. 148 in the Scout 300, announced on Twitter on Wednesday evening he is decommitting from the Sooners.

Daniels made his pledge to the Sooners on Dec. 18, which was also his birthday. Things got thrown for a loop when Texas offered Dec. 17, and Daniels made an official visit to Austin last weekend.

Texas A&M was in the picture for months and months before the Aggies backed out in the fall. But now the Aggies are once again a player for Daniels.

Schools like Ole Miss and Tennessee are also still actively vying for his services.

Daniels has already made his official visit to OU, and OU coaches Bob Stoops and Diron Reynolds were both visiting Daniels and his family Monday evening.

Because of the decommitment, OU now has zero defensive linemen committed for the 2016 class.
