Sooners Illustrated breaks down 2016 recruiting class

Oklahoma is currently without a defensive tackle commit for next year's class

Signing day is almost here. New to the recruiting game or just want a refresher of what has already happened? here is a look at Oklahoma's class heading into Wednesday:

Defensive tackle

Oklahoma has no current commitments at defensive tackle.

Signing day surprise? There are still two players on the Sooners’ radar at defensive tackle/nose guard: Former commit and Scout 300 player Chris Daniels and Texas-based Marcel Southall. Oklahoma could take one or the other, but right now, it seems like Oklahoma won’t get either. It’s not a bad situation though with redshirt freshmen Neville Gallimore and Du'Vonta Lampkin having come in last year, and don’t forget about sophomore Marquise Overton, who got rave reviews in preseason camp last year. Oklahoma could get Southall or Daniels if another school – most likely Texas – can’t take them both.

Signing day result? Daniels and Southall to Texas.
