JH:Your season is underway, how are things going?

ZL: Right now we have started 2-0, but we have a big game coming up this Friday against Rangeview. They are our crosstown rival and they have won the last two years. We were up 7-0 going into the fourth quarter, but we let down and lost the game. I think I have three sacks and I have scored three touchdowns. I am playing tight end, wide receiver and running back on offense.

JH: What is the latest in recruiting?

ZL: I have set up one trip right now and that is with Oklahoma. I will visit the Sooners October 19th. Yeah, I have a friend (Morris Jackson) that I grew up with that goes to Langston University and he says that OU is a great school. He has a lot of family that goes to school there. I like the fact they won the national championship last year and also the fact they don't have any depth at defensive end. They will only have two scholarship players back next year and that appeals to me.

JH: Is Miami still the other school in the picture?

ZL: Right now Miami is the other school that I like. My parents went to Miami and almost all my dad's side of the family still lives in Miami. That helps Miami, because I would be around family, but I can honestly say that I could go somewhere else. My parents aren't pushing me to Miami, they just keep reinforcing to me that I am the one playing and that I have to make sure that I am happy.

JH: OU and Miami have been your top two for a while, are there any other schools that you like?

ZL: The rest of the schools are wide open. I am looking at UCLA, Purdue, Missouri and Notre Dame are some of the other schools that I am talking to.
