It’s a holiday commitment for Oklahoma as Waxahachie (Texas) High wide receiver Jalen Reagor adds to the Sooners impressive 2017 class.
Reagor, ranked No. 193 in the Scout 300, announced he has indeed become the latest member to SoonerSquad17 on Sunday afternoon.
Originally committed to Texas Tech, Reagor mentioned the Sooners often even when he was with the Red Raiders. OU offered a couple of weeks ago, and the Sooners knew they had their best opportunity to make an impression this weekend.
Reagor was one of several Scout 300 prospects on campus this weekend as OU continues to bring in one top recruit after another in the last couple of months.
The plan all along was for OU to offer Reagor on the visit, but once Alabama offered, the Sooners accelerated their own process as well.
Reagor said Saturday night he absolutely loved his visit and there were indicators from fellow commits and from OU coaches that good news was coming OU’s way sometime this weekend.
Reagor makes OU a perfect 9-for-9 in terms of high school commits in the Scout 300 and is OU’s second wide receiver pledge, joining Richmond (Texas) Foster’s CeeDee Lamb.
Recruiting has been a whirlwind for Reagor, who ranked a three-star prospect at one time. Once his junior film was released even more, his stock soared and the offers flooded his inbox.
Reagor is another example of OU’s commits putting in the work and the Sooners continuing to build on their class, currently ranked No. 2 in Scout’s 2017 rankings.
