Sooners Illustrated lays out what the Oklahoma depth chart might looking like for the 2016 season

Some starters were decided in spring while other decisions will be left for pre-season camp.

The position groups have been broken down and analyzed. Now it’s time for one final look to close out the spring.

Here is Justin’s post-spring guess at the Oklahoma Sooners' 2016 depth chart:

QB: Baker Mayfield, Austin Kendall, Connor McGinnis

Notes: If Kyler Murray is eligible, I think he slots in at No. 3 for now

RB: Samaje Perine, Joe Mixon, Rodney Anderson

FB: Dimitri Flowers, Connor Knight, Carson Meier

Notes: Far-and-away Flowers’ position. If not him, Oklahoma might not run a full back.

WR/TE: Mark Andrews, Geno Lewis, Jordan Smallwood

Notes: If Oklahoma has to go with Smallwood long-term, the position changes a little bit – becoming more of a wide receiver than a combo position.

Slot WR: Jarvis Baxter, Michiah Quick, Mykel Jones

Notes: Baxter is the starter at the slot position until Quick shows more consistency then. It’s the closest competition of the receiver positions.

Flanker/ZWR: Geno Lewis, Jeffery Mead, Dahu Green

XWR: Dede Westbrook, A.D. Miller, Zach Farrar

Notes: Miller’s spring has been good enough to make him a quality back-up to the Sooners top receiver position.

LT: Orlando Brown, Bobby Evans, Erik Swenson

LG: Cody Ford, Ashton Julious

C: Jonathan Alvarez, Logan Roberson, Erick Wren

Notes: Think Roberson is the full-time back-up if Alvarez goes down with an injury, but Wren will serve in spot duty. Although Oklahoma has never really cherished redshirts

RG: Ben Powers, Jamal Danley, Alex Dalton

Notes: Seriously doubting that Dalton is healthy by August

RT: Dru Samia, Bobby Evans, Christian Daimler

Notes: Full-time, Evans would be the replacement, but Daimler will probably serve in spot duty

DT: Matthew Romar, Marquise Overton, Jordan Wade

RDE: Charles Walker, D.J. Ward, Austin Roberts

LDE: Matt Dimon, Neville Gallimore, Du'Vonta Lampkin

Note: Dimon is probably the most likely D-line starter to be ousted in camp. If Gallimore starts, it might also be a sign of Oklahoma’s run defense worries.

OLB: Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Ricky DeBerry, Caleb Kelly

Notes: Obo will get the first shot, but Kelly and Mark Jackson will get every chance once they get on campus

MLB: Jordan Evans, Tay Evans, Curtis Bolton, Jon-Michael Terry, Kapri Doucet

NB: Will Johnson, Chanse Sylvie, Caleb Kelly

Notes: A lot of attention will be on Johnson this season – A lot.

CB: Jordan Thomas, Dakota Austin, P.J. Mbanasor, Antoine Stephens, Jordan Parker

Notes: Thomas is the starter and the other three are battling each other. Mbanasor would probably take Thomas’ spot should he miss time.

SS: Steven Parker, Will Sunderland, Chanse Sylvie

FS: Ahmad Thomas, Kahlil Haughton, Prentice McKinney
