Oklahoma Sooners receiver John Humphrey announced his transfer Wednesday

Humphrey transfers after redshirt freshman season

Oklahoma Sooners receiver John Humphrey Jr. announced Wednesday on Twitter that he will be leaving the program. He did not indicate any plans on what he might do next.

Humphrey came to Oklahoma as a three-star receiver but one with incredible speed. The 5-foot-9 freshman redshirted in his first year on campus but was named Oklahoma Scout Team Offensive Player of the Year.

Despite entering the spring hopeful to make an impact, Humphrey did not garner a lot of attention in the last month. He did not have a catch in the Red-White game.
