Jordan Shepherd signs with Oklahoma Sooners to become OU's fifth member of the 2016 class

6-foot-3, under-the-radar point guard picks Sooners on visit to Norman

The Oklahoma Sooners have added a fifth member to the 2016 recruiting class.

North Carolina-based, 6-foot-3 point guard Jordan Shepherd, who remained largely off the radar before this May with just a small collection of mid-major offers, signed and committed to the Sooners on a visit to Norman this weekend.

Shepherd, who was once committed to James Madison (Va.), is reportedly scheduled to take a visit to San Diego before the late signing period ends on May 18.

Shepherd joins Matt FreemanKameron McGustyKristian Doolittle and Darrion Strong in the highest-rated recruiting class that Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger has brought in to Norman.
