Former OU offensive lineman Josiah St. John selected No. 1 overall in CFL Draft

Former OU offensive lineman Josiah St. John selected No. 1 overall in the CFL Draft.

The draft frenzy is not over just yet. The NFL Draft saw four former Oklahoma Sooners be drafted last month, and it didn’t take long for some OU flavor in the Canadian Football League Draft.

Not long at all. Former OU offensive tackle Josiah St. John was selected with the No. 1 overall pick of the event Tuesday evening by Saskatchewan.

St. John, a three-star junior college transfer recruit, started the first half of the 2015 season and also played during the 2014 season.

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds, St. John saw time at right tackle and helped open the Canadian doors to the Sooners.

St. John, originally from Toronto, acted like a big brother to redshirt freshman defensive lineman Neville Gallimore last season.
