James has the size, speed and athletic ability that all college football programs covet. Regarded as one of the top 100 players in California, Finley is a 3-year starter that put together very impressive numbers a year ago.
Finley caught 57 catches for 1,019 yards and 14 touchdowns last season. Thus far this season through one game Finley returned a kickoff 98-yards for a touchdown and caught six passes for 105 yards. Finley can bench bench 260 pounds and he starts in hoops (16 ppg, 8 rbpg), but admits that football is his best sport.
Finley went to the Florida State camp and played well this past summer. Finley is compared by some to Randy Moss.
"I like that comparison and it doesn't scare me," says Finley. "I think I run well, can explode past a receiver and believe that I can break games wide open like Randy Moss."
Finley still likes a number of schools including Oregon State, USC, Oklahoma, Michigan State, California and Oregon.
"Oregon State and USC are my favorites, but you can throw Oklahoma in there as well. I have also talked to Georgia Tech and I am waiting to hear what they want to do."
Finley is still waiting for his test score.
