RECRUITING: Top Texas RB says OU has good chance

Palestine, Texas running back Adrian Peterson talks recruiting and about his interest in Oklahoma.

JH: Did you come up to the OU scrimmage yesterday?

AD: "No, I couldn't make it to Norman yesterday, because I had a funeral to go to at 2:00 yesterday afternoon."

JH: What is going on with your team's practices?

AD: "School starts on Monday and I am looking forward to it. We just finished two-a-days and they went pretty well for us. It was pretty hot, but it wasn't too bad. I don't play defense so I just worked on offense and that wasn't too bad."

JH: You will have a target on your back this yea because of how highly you are rated. How do you feel about that?

AD: "It won't be anything different from the past. It is a challenge, but I really don't think about things like that."

JH: What are you goals for this season?

AD: "I hope team-wise we go all the way and I hope that we have a good season. I hope to rush for more yards than we did last year."

JH: Are you still planning announcing your college decision during the Army All-Star game in December for January?

AD: "I still plan on doing that. I just thought it would be neat to commit during that game."

JH: How is recruiting going?

AD: "It is going pretty good. I still like Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Miami and LSU."

JH: What are you thoughts on Oklahoma?

AD: "They have a pretty good chance. I really like their football program and the people in it. I really like the coaches and I am really looking hard at Oklahoma."

JH: How is your relationship with OU Assistant Coach Darrell Wyatt, who is recruiting you?

AD: "He is pretty cool. I have a pretty good relationship with him. He is a good guy to talk to, and a fun guy to get to know."
