Recruiting: Dibbles still high on Oklahoma

James Hale catches up with the No. 18 ranked player in the nation according to about his thoughts on the last weeks tragedy and recruiting

Position: Defensive Tackle
Height: 6-3
Weight: 275
Hometown: Lancaster, Texas
Ranking: #18 Nationally by Top 10 tries to catch up with "Big Larry" each and every week.

JH: Considering the tragedy in New York City and Washington D.C., did you play this weekend?

LD: It was tough to play because of what happened in New York City and Washington. However, I was glad we played and I was glad that we could entertain people and try to lift their spirits. At such a tragic time like this people are stressed out and not happy, and I hope that for a few hours we could help them. Just playing the game certainly helped me deal with the situation.

JH: Did you win the game?

LD: We lost the game 7-3 and we are now 0-2. I have played very well. I was pretty explosive off the ball. My first step was very good. I have had several tackles, probably 16 or 17, three sacks and five tackles for losses."

JH: How many coaches were at your game?

LD: Several coaches were at my last game. The Oklahoma coaches were there. I saw Coach (Brent) Venables and Coach (Jackie) Shipp at the game. I also saw the Arkansas coaches at the game. I felt good about the Oklahoma coaches being at the game. They have said many times that I am their number one guy defensively. I feel good that the defending national champs think that much of me. I am pretty sure they were happy with my performance."

JH: Anything new in recruiting?

LD: Everything is still the same in recruiting. It's still Texas, Oklahoma and Notre Dame in no particular order. I still haven't set any visits yet. I plan on doing that at the end of my senior season."
