OU commit friendly fire

When OU commits collide. High school games featuring OU commits going against each other.

Trying to figure out your high school schedule this year for Oklahoma commits? Good luck as you have plenty of chances to go all over the state and the Dallas Metroplex to see the members of SoonerSquad17 and Savage Team 2K18 (#ST2K18).

The season kicks off for many this week and features two of the “friendly fire” games with OU commits taking on each other.

Aug. 25 (Thursday)

McKinney (Texas) Boyd at Mesquite (Texas) Horn

Season starts with a showdown between future quarterback and offensive guard. Horn’s Chris Robison has obviously been the face of OU’s SoonerSquad17, while Boyd’s Tyrese Robinson has been a cornerstone for the offensive line class.

Aug. 26 (Friday)

Tulsa (Okla.) Union at Southlake (Texas) Carroll

The very next night a friendly rivalry resumes. Last year was an incredible battle between the Dragons and Redskins in Tulsa. Game featured players like Obi Eboh (Stanford), Lil Jordan Humphrey (Texas), Zach Farrar (OU) and Robert Barnes (OU commit) for Southlake Carroll and Tre Brown (OU commit) for Union. The talent is immense in this one again with all eyes glued to seeing if Brown and Barnes go against each other.

Sept. 9 (Friday)

Cedar Hill (Texas) High at Mesquite (Texas) Horn

Another game featuring Robison. This time he’ll be going against a future wide receiver as Charleston Rambo is one of three crazy-talented receivers for the Longhorns. Cedar Hill is always expected to contend for the crown so good opportunity to see what Robison can do.

Oct. 13 (Thursday)

Collinsville (Okla.) at Tulsa (Okla.) Memorial

The first OKPreps collide game features two of the best prospects in the state and both committed to OU for the 2017 class. Collinsville linebacker Levi Draper and Memorial’s Isaiah Thomas are both ranked in the Scout 300. This would be a great first look as well to see 2019 Collinsville prospect Grayson Boomer.

Oct. 20 (Thursday)

Tulsa (Okla.) Union at Moore (Okla.) Southmoore

The very next week features a major East-West showdown in the state with Union coming to Southmoore. Tre Brown, Adrian Wilson and C.J. Moore will lead the battle against Casey Thompson, Quindon Lewis (Memphis), Gervarrius Owens (Memphis) and a group anchored by 2018 five-star offensive tackle Brey Walker (committed to OU).

Oct. 28 (Friday)

Waxahachie (Texas) High at Lancaster (Texas) High

Here you go. This is a showdown worth seeing. Waxahachie has another of OU’s Scout 300 receiver commits in Jalen Reagor. Opposing him? One of OU’s Scout 300 commits for the 2018 class in defensive back Jordon Austin. Should be a fun battle.
