Red River Showdown set for 11 a.m.

OU-Texas set for familiar time, 11 a.m. CST on FS1.

It’s a new broadcasting station, but a familiar time slot. The Red River Showdown between Oklahoma and Texas will be 11 a.m. CST next Saturday at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

The annual shootout has been broadcast on ESPN/ABC networks ever since 2000, but this time around it’s heading to Fox Sports 1.

Both the Sooners and Longhorns are off to slow starts and both begin Big 12 conference play this weekend. Texas takes on Oklahoma State, who is also reeling having lost two of its last three games.

The Sooners head to TCU as the Frogs have won back-to-back contest since the heartbreaking loss to Arkansas a few weeks ago.

OU (1-2) enters the week unranked for the first time since the end of the 2014 season.
