When you have five in-state commitments, bound to run into this eventually. Thursday will mark the first case of Oklahoma commitments going against each other in the Sooner State.
Heading to the Tulsa area this time around with Tulsa Memorial defensive end Isaiah Thomas and Collinsville linebacker Levi Draper.
Both ranked in the Scout 300, both have played well during the first half of their senior seasons.
Draper, ranked No. 2 ILB in the country, has 55 tackles this season with a fumble recovery and an interception returned for a touchdown. He also has six catches for 112 yards and two scores.
Thomas, the very definition of a late bloomer, has lived up to his Scout 300 ranking with 40 tackles, 19 for loss, nine sacks and two forced fumbles.
Thomas and Draper have been seen together a bunch of times in Norman and in Dallas to watch the Sooners play. But this time around, they’ll be going against each other.
Prospect to watch
2019 Collinsville ATH Grayson Boomer
Thursday will mark the first time for Sooners Illustrated to get a chance to watch early four-star prospect Grayson Boomer.
A 2019 recruit, Boomer has several offers so far and is someone who can make a difference at defensive end or tight end.
The Sooners have shown strong interest, including having him in town for Ohio State weekend, and the offer could be coming at any time now.
