Position: Free Safety
Hometown: Plano, Texas
JH: How has your season gone so far?
VV: The season has been pretty good so far. I already have three interceptions and I have caught two touchdown passes thus far. We are 2-0 on the year beating Flower Mound and Flower Mound Marcus. Both teams like to throw the ball and they challenged me and I was up to the challenge."
JH: You are consensus top 100 player in the country and many believe the top safety prospect in the country, how does it make you feel to be rated so high?
VV: It's a honor to be rated so high, but I can't let that effect me. I have to play my game and work hard day in and day out. I can't let any of the publicity get to me. I have to stay humble and just play my game."
JH: How is recruiting going for you?
VV: Right now I am interested in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, UCLA, Notre Dame and Michigan State. I don't favor any of the schools and I am not leaning to any school at this time.
I like Oklahoma and the coaches. I talked to Bob Stoops yesterday and really enjoyed our conversation. I am going to the Kansas State game with a friend and I am looking forward to checking everything out."
JH: What are your main priorities in recruiting.
VV: I am looking to see if I can make a difference if I come. Will I get an opportunity and I want a great education."
