RECRUITING: Ohio CB still likes Oklahoma

Clevleand, Ohio cornerback Ted Ginn talks about his first high school game and his interest in OU.

TED GINN, CB, 6-1, 165, 4.45 CLEVELAND, OHIO (GLANVILLE HS):

JH: Have you played your first game yet?

TG: "We lost, but we played hard. We lost 38-8 to Minter and that wasn't easy to accept. I guess I played well, but really none of us play well when we lose. I had some mental mistakes, but for the most part I had a pretty good game. I played quarterback on offense and free safety on defense. I only threw one pick and had 79 yards passing and 73 yards rushing. I scored our only touchdown on a keeper. I had one pick, four tackles and five assist on defense."

JH: Are you still getting recruited more as a cornerback?

TG: "I am getting recruiting at both corner and safety. At first I liked corner the best, but now I think I like safety just as much."

JH: How has recruiting been going?

TG: "I have been getting a lot of mail, but of course I haven't heard from any football coaches through the dead period. I have been getting a lot of calls from track people and that is something that I want to take a look at. I really want to run tack in college and most schools will let me do both. Football coaches can start calling again soon and I am sure things will pick up then."

JH: Do you have a favorite at this point?

TG: "I haven't started to narrow down my schools yet, because it is too early. I would say by midseason that I will come up with a top six. I have 12 offers at this point and will be getting more soon."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

TG: "They are a pretty good team and always rated high. I definitely like Oklahoma, but like I said I am still considering a number of schools at this point and I am not ready to narrow down my list."
