Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine wasted little time in announcing he is going to enter the NFL Draft, posting on his Instagram page Tuesday morning.
Perine is now OU’s all-time leading rusher after accomplishing the feat Monday evening in OU’s 35-19 win against Auburn in the Sugar Bowl.
Head coach Bob Stoops said earlier Tuesday morning he felt Perine would head to the NFL, and Perine made it official just minutes later.
Perine needed 83 yards against the Tigers to become OU’s all-time rushing king and earned 86 yards on 17 carries to finish with 4,122 yards for his career.
Perine ends his career not only as OU’s top rusher but as the single-game holder of the NCAA record when he rushed for 427 yards against Kansas as a freshman.
