OU spring game set for April 8

OU's spring game will be 1 p.m. CST on April 8.

It has been more than a month since Oklahoma played its final game of the 2016 season and now we know when the 2017 spring game is going to take place.

OU announced the spring game will be April 8 (Saturday) at 1 p.m. CST. The Sooners are coming off back-to-back Big 12 championships and ended the season with a 10-game winning streak that culminated in a Sugar Bowl victory against Auburn.

Before the spring game, McCasland Field House will be open for the OU annual spring sale, beginning at 8 a.m. There will also be food trucks, live music and games at a fan fest beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Game tickets are $5 for non-season ticket holders and will be available for purchase beginning on Feb. 8 at 8 a.m. Season ticket holders will get information on reserving free tickets with the 2017 renewal packet.

Tickets will also be free for Sooner Jr. Kids Club members and any students with current OU IDs. Students from selected elementary schools will also receive a flyer at school that can be redeemed at Gate 5 for free admission for a student and up to three guests.

To go along with all the returning players, OU has 11 mid-year enrollees who could see time in the game. OU has not announced when spring practice will officially start.
