It’s a little bit later than last couple of years, but that’s OK. Oklahoma will begin its spring football practice March 21, released by the Big 12 on Tuesday afternoon and confirmed by an OU spokesman.
It was already known that OU’s spring game is April 8, and although the turnaround seems quick for the initial practice to the spring game, OU confirmed the Sooners will practice after the Red-White game.
In the past, head coach Bob Stoops has done it where the spring game ends spring practice and has also had years where the team has continued practicing beyond the Red-White game.
Recently, OU has had one week of spring practice before spring break, but this time around, OU will not start practice until the week students return from break.
The Sooners are coming off back-to-back Big 12 championships and won their final 10 games last season to finish 11-2 overall and also tout the No. 6th-ranked 2017 recruiting class by Scout.
