Linebacker Kapri Doucet transferring from OU

Linebacker Kapri Doucet announced he is transferring from OU.

Linebacker Kapri Doucet announced his intention to transfer from Oklahoma when the spring semester is over, he posted on his Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Doucet, a 6-foot, 218-pound senior, was going to be entering his second season with the Sooners but did not participate in Saturday’s spring game.

Used as an outside linebacker during the 2016 season, Doucet was being moved around during the spring as coaches were trying to figure out where he would fit best as the system moved from a 3-4 front to a 4-3.

Doucet played in 10 games last season with 22 tackles and had one sack.

A junior college transfer from Scranton (Pa.) Lackawanna, he was a part of the Lackawanna Trio with offensive lineman Ashton Julious and linebacker Emmanuel Beal. That trio grew by one this class with running back Marcelias Sutton.

Doucet has one year of eligibility remaining.
