2019 WR Theo Wease decommits from OU

2019 four-star wide receiver Theo Wease announced his decommitment from Oklahoma on Monday evening.

And then there were none. Oklahoma has lost its only commitment for the 2019 class as Allen (Texas) High wide receiver Theo Wease announced he has backed off his pledge from the Sooners on Monday evening.

Wease, already an early four-star prospect, committed to the Sooners two months ago at junior day and visited OU twice during this month, including the spring game.

Wease is the second 2019 four-star receiver to decommit from the Sooners in as many days. Richmond (Texas) Travis’s Arjei Henderson did the same thing Sunday evening. Wease and Henderson committed to OU within minutes of each other when they made the junior day visit in February.

Wease had been the face of OU’s #NewWave19 2019 class the last couple of months, openly recruiting for the Sooners and constantly wearing crimson and cream wherever he went.

The offers have not stopped flooding in for Wease or for Henderson, for that matter, and it sounds like both decided a bit too early and will let the process play out from here.
