OU softball and baseball know where they're going for the postseason.

Calendar is turning to June, but Oklahoma athletics are not done yet as the baseball and softball teams have earned bids into the postseason.

The softball team, the defending national champions, have once again punched their ticket to the Women’s College World Series.

OU, seeded No. 10, had no problem sweeping No. 7 Auburn in the Super Regionals to return to Oklahoma City.

OU will begin its quest for back-to-back titles by taking on Baylor as the final game Thursday evening, tentatively scheduled for 8:30.

The Sooners and Bears are the lone Big 12 representatives in the field of eight to go with three schools from the SEC and three from the Pac-12.

Florida is the overall No. 1 seed.

Not too big of a surprise to see Patty Gasso’s ladies back in the spotlight, but it was a big season for Pete Hughes and the OU baseball team.

Despite limping into regional play after losing its last four games, the Sooners did enough to earn a No. 2 seed in the Louisville regional.

OU begins play against No. 3 seed Xavier at 1 p.m. CST Friday. The Cardinals are the No. 7 overall national seed.
