RECRUITING: Ohio LB set to visit Norman

Huber Heights, Ohio linebacker Marcus Freeman talks recruiting about his upcoming visit to Norman this weekend.

JH: How is your season going thus far?

MF: "We are 3-1 right now. We are 1-0 in league play. We are favored to win our league."

JH: How have you played up to this point?

MF: "I have played pretty good. I am going both ways and that takes away from my defense a little bit. However, that is what is needed of me on my team and I am trying to live up to my own expectations. On defense I played defensive end and had six sacks, and since then I have played linebacker. Overall I have 46 tackles, five sacks, two fumble recoveries and four caused fumbles. At fullback I have probably a little over 300 yards and three touchdowns. This is the first year to play running back, so it was pretty cool to score a touchdown, especially that first one. I am getting a little used to it."

JH: Are you looking forward to your first visit this weekend to Oklahoma?

MF: "Yeah, this will be my first visit that I ever take as a football player. It is going to be different for me, but I am looking forward to it, because Oklahoma is such a good football program."

JH: What do you expect out of your visit OU?

MF: "I expect to see a defense that runs all over the field. I expect to see a disciplined defense and I am looking forward to watching a great coach in Bob Stoops and his defense staff go to work, because I have a great deal of respect for their defensive staff."

JH: Do you have any expectations about Oklahoma going in?

MF: "I am going in with totally an open mind. I have never been to Oklahoma before, so I am looking forward to see something new and experiencing another part of the country."

JH: Do you have a leader at this point?

MF: No, I don't."

JH: What other schools are you considering?

MF: "Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Miami."

JH: Do you think you will commit soon?

MF: "Not at this point. Right now I am pretty wide open and I am looking forward to going to each school to see what they have to offer."
