RECRUITING: America's top RB set to visit Norman

Palestine, Texas RB Adrian Peterson talks about his trip to Texas and his upcoming visit to Norman this weekend.

ADRAIN PETERSON, RB, 6-3, 205, 4.4, PALESTINE, TEXAS (PALESTINE HS):

JH: How is your high school season going?

AD: "Our season is going pretty good so far. We are 3-0 and we have won all of games pretty easily."

JH: I've also head you've been tearing it up so far. Is that true?

AD: "I have rushed for 784 yards and 11 touchdowns. I think I am running pretty well, but I also know that I can do better and we can do better rushing the football."

JH: Do you ever get a chance to catch the ball?

AD: "Yes, sir. I have caught one pass so far on a screen. I don't expect them to throw the ball to me that much, but if our coaches want to do that then that will be fine with me. I will do whatever it takes to help the team."

JH: Did you take in a game last weekend?

AD: "Yes, I went to the Texas game. Texas didn't play very well at all and they didn't run the ball very well. The environment was pretty good, but I was bothered a little bit when the fans booed the Texas team."

JH: Is your visit to OU this weekend an unofficial visit?

AD: "Yes, sir. It is going to be an unofficial visit. I think it will be my fourth time at OU. My mom is going to come with me."

JH: Do you have a leader at this point?

AD: "No, sir."

JH: What schools are you still considering?

AD: "I am still considering the same schools, and now I am also considering Virginia Tech a little bit."

JH: What will you be looking for when you watch Oklahoma?

AD: "I will be looking to see how they run the football. I just want to look at the running game from an overall standpoint."

JH: When will you set your official visits?

AD: "I think I will visit probably in December. I don't have any visits set yet, but I will start working on that towards the end of our season."
