RECRUITING: Top Florida LB likes OU

Carol City, Fla. linebacker Willie Williams says Oklahoma's defensive schemes fit his style.

JH: I know it is early, but how is your season going?

WW: "Our season is doing great. We are 2-0 on the year and we have won both games pretty handily."

JH: You are just now getting to play aren't you?

WW: "I haven't played in the first two games, but I just got eligible on Monday."

JH: When you heard that you were eligible how did you feel?

WW: "I felt excited. I was ready to explode just like a rocket. I can't wait to get on the field."

JH: Now that you know you can play how are your practices going?

WW: "My practice has been going great. I have been practicing in shorts this week learning our defense and getting into game shape. I won't play this weekend, but I will be in full pads next week and I will play next weekend. I have been practicing both inside and outside."

JH: Have you set up any visits yet?

WW: "I haven't set up any visits yet, but I am thinking about it. I don't have an exact date yet, but I will take a visit to Oklahoma. I am also considering Florida State, Florida, North Carolina State and Auburn."

JH: Do you have any favorites at this time?

WW: "No, I don't have a favorite at this time. They are all pretty much equal."

JH: What do you think of Oklahoma at this point?

WW: "I really like how Oklahoma runs their defense. Their linebackers are very active and they like to blitz them. OU is a very aggressive defense, yet disciplined a the same time."

JH: What are you looking for in a college?

WW: "I am looking for the kind of defense they are running and the kind of defensive scheme they use. I am looking at the depth chart at linebacker and looking for a college program where I can be an impact at and really contribute to the team."

JH: You are still considering two schools from Florida and both are good programs. So, could you really leave the state of Florida?

WW: "It won't be tough. I am open-minded about the whole situation and I could leave the state if I decide a school out of state is best for me."
