"We got off to a little bit of a slow start as we are 1-2. The first week we played we played Lubbock Monteray and lost 19-7. We lost the second game to Borger 7-0. However, we got a win last weekend 31-14 over Carlsbad."

"The first week I didn't play very well at all. I really don't know what it was, but I just didn't get the job done. However, the last two weekends I played like I can and it felt a lot better. The first week I got into trouble with my technique. I don't know if I was rusty or not, but the next two weeks everything was back to normal. It doesn't matter how good you are if you don't play with good technique you are not going to play well."

"No doubt, without a question, I love Oklahoma. I haven't missed a game yet. I have a buddy down the street who has the Direct TV package and if the game is not on regular TV or cable I just head down there and watch it with him. It took a couple of games for them to get going, but with their defense they will have a chance to win every game they play. They are going through some growing pains with (Nate) Hybl at quarterback, but he is getting better every game and they are going to win a lot of games with him as their quarterback."

"We have Saturday morning practice so I can't make it to the game on Saturday. I tried to get out of it, but my dad wouldn't let me out of practice. You would think I would have some connections with my dad as the head coach, but that doesn't happen. I will get to watch them play in Lubbock and our Christmas is going to be my family going to their bowl game, so that is going to be fun."
